Green Gold Energy (GGE) was founded in South Australia, one of the world’s most dynamic and complex electricity markets. Since 2017, GGE has grown into a full-chain clean energy solutions provider with integrated capabilities across project delivery, intelligent operation and investment.

GGE focuses on Microgrid and large-scale Solar & BESS projects, covering the full lifecycle from development, EPC and O&M to AIVY-powered operation and long-term investment participation. By combining project capability, operational intelligence and capital strategy, GGE has built a closed-loop business model that is replicated across Australia and global markets.

OUR STORY

2017

Green Gold Energy established.

First 1MW solar farm commissioned.

5MW solar project development started.

2018

In-house EPC team recruited.

10 projects developed.

First 5MW+ solar farm EPC project commenced, with 25 project sites secured in SA.

2019

Melbourne office established.

10 projects commissioned.

Began micro-grid development, with 250MW utility-scale projects and 400MW solar in the pipeline.

2020

Business expanded into Victoria and New South Wales.

50 project sites secured across VIC, NSW and SA.

Pipeline reached 700MW solar and 200MWh BESS.

2021

Commercial rooftop solar team formed.

30 projects successfully developed.

Pipeline reached 900MW solar and 500MWh BESS.

2022

First BESS project commenced.

First DC-coupled BESS project started.

Pipeline reached 1.1GW solar and 1.2GWh BESS.

2023

First DC-coupled BESS commissioned.

70+ projects in the pipeline, with 20+ projects commissioned.

Pipeline reached 1.2GW solar and 2GWh BESS.

2024

Energy-trading department established.

Development approval obtained for the Morgan utility-scale solar project: 108MWac / 135MWdc solar + 56MW / 92MWh BESS.

Expanded into New Zealand, with the Maugaruto Solar Farm 21MWdc; pipeline reached 1.2GW solar and 2.5GWh BESS.

2025

First Solar + Data Centre project commenced.

Green Gold Energy Japan established.

Green Gold Energy Thailand office established.

Development approval obtained for APSP: 200MWac solar + 400MWh BESS; pipeline reached 1.3GW solar and 3.0GWh BESS.

2026

First project in Thailand commenced.

Expanded regional presence across solar, BESS and microgrid solutions.

Continued growth across the Asia-Pacific renewable energy market.
