GLOBAL EXPANSION

Welcome, Green Gold Energy Japan

We officially launched Green Gold Energy Japan in April 2025, opening our Tokyo office to expand our presence in the APAC region.

With the support of the Government of South Australia, we explored investment opportunities and strategic collaboration between Australia and Japan.

New Office in Western Australia

Green Gold Energy (GGE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Galetech Australia to explore opportunities within Western Australia’s renewable energy sector.

As part of this development, GGE has established a Western Australia office located at 2/614 Newcastle Street, Leederville, Perth, which is a shared workspace with Galetech Australia.

This milestone reflects our intention to explore future opportunities within Western Australia’s expanding renewable energy landscape.

Utility-scale Project Highlights
Papareireiā Solar Farm Maungaturoto, New Zealand | 21MWdc Marking our first footprint in New Zealand, this project— in partnership with CHINT Green Energy NZ—will generate over 30 GWh annually, enough to power 4,000 homes and reduce 30,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.
Australian Plains Solar & BESS                  Goyder Region, SA | 200MWac + 400MWh We’ve received Development Approval for our largest project yet, marking us move into utility-scale solar and storage. Connected to the Robertstown. Substation and future SA–NSW interconnector, this project reflects our growth beyond Sub-5MW developments.
Northern Battery Project                        Port Augusta City Council, SA | 270MW GGE is partnering with AMPYR Australia to develop the Northern Battery Project in Port Augusta, South Australia. The battery will have a total capacity of 270 MW and store up to 8 hours of electricity, providing power equivalent to 300,000 homes. This landmark project will enhance energy reliability and security in South Australia.
LARGE-SCALE PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
S445 Solar & BESS  – Barunga West, SA | 4.95MWac + 5.5MWh Construction of the S445 Solar & BESS Project in South Australia commenced in Q1 2025 and the project was commissioned on 3 September 2025. The development includes 5.22 MWdc of solar capacity and a 5.5 MWh Battery Energy Storage System.
Coleambally #2 Solar & BESS – Riverina Region, NSW | 4.95MWac + 11MWh Construction commenced earlier this year, and the 6.09 MWac solar and 11 MWh BESS project is now nearing completion, with commissioning scheduled for Q1 next year
Kerta BESS Project – Murray Bridge Region, SA | 5.5MWh The Kerta BESS Project was successfully commissioned on 5 November 2025, marking an important upgrade to the existing facility. Originally commissioned in October 2022 with 4.9 MWac of solar capacity, the project has been enhanced with a 5.5 MWh BESS to improve generation performance and grid flexibility.

Climate25 | SA Industry Climate Change Conference
📍 Adelaide Convention Centre | 8–9 May 2025

As an exhibitor at Climate25, a leading conference on climate action and sustainability, we engaged with industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore practical strategies for climate resilience and low-carbon transformation.

Our team showcased how Green Gold Energy’s customised solutions are helping businesses transition toward a more sustainable future.

ESIE 2025 (Beijing)                                                                                                    📍 Beijing, China | 10–12 April 2025

Our Head of Engineering, Alessandro Wei, was invited to speak at ESIE 2025, one of the world’s largest energy storage events.

Alessandro joined over 800 BESS companies and 400+ global industry leaders to discuss key topics including long-duration storage, grid-forming technologies, solar-storage-EV integration, financing, and second-life battery applications.

We were honoured to contribute to this international platform and showcase Australia’s growing expertise in energy storage.

IMARC2025                                                                                                                  📍 ICCSydney | 21–23 October 2025

Green Gold Energy attended IMARC 2025, one of the world’s leading mining and resources conferences, bringing together industry professionals, innovators, and thought leaders from across mining, renewable energy, and related sectors. The event provided valuable opportunities to engage with peers and explore emerging trends shaping the industry.

China Energy Storage CEO Summit 2025                                                             📍 Xiamen, China | 4–5 December 2025

Alessandro Wei, Head of Engineering, was invited to attend the 2025 China Energy Storage CEO Summit 2025in Xiamen,Chinaand participated in the International Roundtable on emerging energy storage markets. Representing Australia, he shared insights on BESS projects in the National Electricity Market, highlighting regulatory and investment considerations alongside perspectives from Denmark, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Aus Lights on the River 2025 – Official Ceremony Sponsor

We proudly supported this vibrant Australia Day celebration held on Kaurna land, where over 60 multicultural communities came together through art, performance, and storytelling. As a company made up of people from Australia, China, Colombia, Indiaand Vietnam,diversity is part of our identity — and we were honoured to celebrate it.

Adelaide United Sponsorship – 5 Years Consecutive

We celebrated five consecutive years of support for the Adelaide United Football Club. This ongoing sponsorship reflects our strong commitment to community, sport, and local pride.

Supporting the Next Generation at IMARC 2025

Green Gold Energy was proud to participate in the student tour and roundtable session organised by the CoRE Learning Foundation at IMARC2025. Our team shared career experiences and insights into the mining and renewable energy industries, helping inspire future innovators. It was inspiring to see so many bright students exploring STEM and discovering potential career paths in sustainable energy.

Northern Battery Project: Local Community Engagement

In November, Green Gold Energy, together with AMPYR Australia, hosted a community drop-in session in Port Augusta to engage with local residents on the Northern Battery Project. The session provided an opportunity to share project updates, gather community feedback, and acknowledge the project’s support from local authorities. AMPYR Australia also launched the Northern Battery Community Fund, a $40,000 grants program supporting community-led initiatives across Port Augusta, Stirling North, and Port Paterson.

GOVERNMENT ENGAGEMENT

Engaging with the Government of South Australia in Japan 

Green Gold Energy Japan was invited by the Government of South Australia to attend the South Australian Decarbonisation & Clean Tech Forum at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. The forum provided an opportunity to showcase milestones achieved by our Japan office, including its establishment earlier this year.

On the 27th of November, Green Gold Energy was invited by the South Australian Government to join in welcoming the Shandong Governor and delegation at the Drill Core Library in Tonsley. The visit provided valuable insights into South Australia’s innovation ecosystem and highlighted opportunities for future collaboration.

Engaging with the NSW Government

Green Gold Energy was honoured to be invited by the NSW Government to the NSW–Guangdong Joint Economic Meeting in Guangzhou (3–4 December). Our Head of Engineering, Alessandro Wei, participated in discussions covering NSW’s Renewable Energy Zone updates and community BESS needs, alongside Guangdong’s energy storage developments.

Green Gold Energy is proud to be a finalist at the South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards 2025. The event brought together political, government, and business leaders to celebrate South Australia’s innovation and export excellence. Having been recognised last year with the Resources and Energy Export Award, we were honoured to stand alongside other outstanding companies and showcase our commitment to driving growth and innovation in the state.
