“Green Gold Energy’s first Solar & Battery Energy Storage System Project in SA”
On the 8th of August 2022, Green Gold Energy (GGE) hosted an opening ceremony for our Loveday Solar & BESS Project. The project includes two stages, the first stage is a 2MW and 5.5MWh BESS which will be completed end of this year and the second stage is a 3MW future expansion.
We would like to thank all the attendees at the Loveday opening ceremony. From right to left, we have John Huang (Green Gold Energy managing director), Peter Hunt(Mayor of Berri Barmera Council), Mr Li, the investor and project owner, landowners Cathy and Paul in the front, the Sungrow Power team, LONGi Team and GGE team.
- Mayor Peter Hunt shared a few words. He thanked GGE for our work as this is the 4th solar project in development in the Berri Barmera Council area. Mayor Hunt mentioned the importance of renewable energy and how it will be the future of Australia.
- Mr Li shared his thoughts with us, expressing the need for renewable energy and that he was delighted to have a chance to change the world.
- Sungrow Power – Joe Zhou and LONGi – Andres Novoa Serrano shared their vision and goals of promoting clean energy, GGE; with the same vision, we believe we will have a strong partnership with both Sungrow and LONGi in the future.
Three pine trees were planted to represent our goals toward a greener future. We look forward to seeing the growth of the trees during the 30-year generation period of this project.
GGE will continue to thrive and produce more solar projects and work with local government to achieve carbon neutral by 2050.
