The site has been secured in 2021 by the project owner. It is aimed to create employment opportunities over the 18-month construction period. The project is expected to be shovel ready by the end of 2024, and construction will commence in 2025.
APSP will be connecting to the Robertstown Substation where the interconnector cable will be constructed, connecting South Australia to New South Wales. It will power households interstate by using South Australian generated energy.
